Major League Gaming has re-imagined the Pro Circuit for 2011 and we’re thrilled to bring you the first details of what is sure to be an incredible Season. The 2011 Pro Circuit will consist of six Live Competitions across the US, each featuring three of today’s biggest and most competitive titles: StarCraft 2 for the PC, Halo: Reach for the Xbox 360, and Call of Duty®: Black Ops for the PlayStation®3.

MLG’s 8th Pro Circuit Season will feature more than $1 million in prizes and player stipends, making this the largest Season in our history. Check out a full breakdown of the prizes per Competition for Halo: Reach and StarCraft 2:

We’re still hard at work on the final details regarding Call of Duty®: Black Ops in 2011, and we’ll soon be ready to announce more information, including specifics about the available prizes.

Today, we proudly bring you the location and dates of the first two Live Competitions. We kick off the season in Dallas, TX on the weekend of April 1-3. From there, the Pro Circuit will head to Columbus, OH on June 3-5. Columbus and Dallas have proven to be popular mainstays on the Pro Circuit, and we’re thrilled to return in 2011.

Online registration for all MLG Dallas titles will open on Tuesday, March 1 at 7pm ET. The Halo: Reach tournament will feature 208 teams, while the StarCraft 2 tournament will see 272 players square off. Come compete alongside the best players the world has to offer in some of the most massive brackets in gaming history. More details on registration, including pass prices and the bracket size for Call of Duty®: Black Ops will be announced soon.

Whether Dallas 2011 will be your first or 50th Pro Circuit Live Competition, we want your jaw to drop when you walk into the venue. The Pro Circuit setup has been completely redesigned and now features three massive Main Stages lining the front of the venue, allowing each title on the Pro Circuit to get all of the attention it deserves. Add to that an array of new and exciting ways to engage with fellow gamers and your favorite pro players, and you have the makings of a groundbreaking Season.

This is just a small part of what the 2011 Season has to offer. More details on Live Competitions, Online Qualifiers, and the improved online viewing and spectator experiences are still to come. Join us in Dallas on April 1-3 and be one of the first fans to witness the rebirth of the MLG Pro Circuit. In the meantime, perfect your DMR, refine your build orders, and work on your dolphin dive.
